Nearly 100 million VND is given to disadvantaged students during the Happy New Year - Spring Festival of 2018
On February 6th, 2018, Hanoi Open University organized the program "Happy New Year - Happy New Year - Spring Festival of 2018". The program is organized to help disadvantaged students to welcome the Lunar New Year in a cheerful, warm atmosphere, helping to motivate them to overcome the dificult circumstances to gain high results in learning and training. Accordingly, each student will be given meaningful gifts and 1 million VND.

In her speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Mai Huong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the University Council said in recent years, along with the policies to support students according to the regulations of the State, Hanoi Open University always has priority policies for students who have difficulties in learning, timely encouraging and sharing with the difficulties of them, helping them to study peacefully.

On behalf of the university's leaders, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Mai Huong highly appreciated the efforts of the students and sent new year greetings to them and their families on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2018. She emphasized that supporting Tet gifts for poor students is a practical activity to help them have a full Tet.

Speaking in the program, student Vu Thi Thu Hue - Faculty of Banking and Finance on behalf of gifted students, expressed emotions when receiving the gifts full of love of the school teachers. "I am very touched and grateful to the university because not only today, but in the process of learning, I have been given the best conditions to pursue my dream."

Together with this program, the Youth Union - Student Union has cooperated with the Youth Union and Ha Noi Students Association to support free tickets for poor students in the provinces of Lai Chau, Lang Son, Thanh Hoa, Phu Tho, Hoa Binh, Bac Giang, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Dien Bien, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Ninh Binh, Tuyen Quang and Bac Kan. All faculties are also actively seeking resources to provide gifts to underprivileged students, contributing to the full Tet for students and their families.
